Project Summary:
Service Nation Day Of Action Atlanta, Ga
On Saturday, September 27, 2008, the Service Nation Day of Action will occur in communities all across the country. AmeriCorps alumni from the Atlanta area will convene in downtown Atlanta to raise and spread awareness for national and community service. We will be strategically located throughout downtown to to interact with downtown residents and college students, capture their stories of service and wishes for the future of national and community service in America, and ask them to generate support the Declaration of National Service by signing their name to it.
AmeriCorps alumni, current AmeriCorps members, and interested citizens will also help improve downtown by holding a clean-up project in Woodruff Park, Ashe Plaza, and other downtown areas.
