    hey,

      In october we had our first set board meeting. we had about ten people that showed up to join the board. in that  meeting we discussed our plans for iberia parishs upcoming fall fun day. also discussed about the set club we will start for 4th to 6th grade. we have also asked the sheriff's office to donate used bikes to give away at fall fun day.we set the next SET board meeting for in december and the first SET club meeting will be in december.

    During September we were unable to do any activities for our SET Club in Cameron Parish due to Hurricane Ike. However, in October we had our first meeting, which we had 14 people attend. The meeting was focused on Forensic Science and each month we will have a meeting focusing on different areas of science.

    October Status Report

    This past month I have continued my work with livestock. I am also in the process of making my livestock video. Planning is a lot harder than I thought. I do plan to get my project on the ground running as soon as possible. I hope to have it near completion in the next month so I will be able to present it to the board at the winter meeting.

    I have also stayed connect but I am having trouble getting in touch with my comittee chair so I am not sure of what he wants me to do exactly.

    I also rewrote the SET board application form for my paris, although it still has not been carried through.

    total hours: well over 3

    I also help this past Friday with the 4-H club at my school when we volunteered at the Special Olympics Bowling. I am happy to say my 4-H club and Jr. Leaders club is very involved with the community.

    My status report for October is more involved with photography and community volunteering. I helped with my school's gold buck auction by donating and I also participated. LoL! I've ben helping my mom take photos of friends and family. I've also ben informed that my school will not approve of getting a SET board til nxt year because of our club schedule.
