Our Impact
I dropped off food today at the Lanark Food Bank on behalf of the farm.
As we stood there and chatted with the woman who accepted the donation she explained to us that they never get donations of meat, ever. She was beside herself with gratitude. The farm may have taken a loss, but it sure feels good to know that the over purchase did not go to waste. We fed a lot of families today.

While at leadership camp I thanked the staff of the camp everytime I saw them even though I could have walked by them and not even care to .

spent 4 days helping hurricane Ike evacuees
I saved a little puppy from running into the road.
Last night as I was leaving the gas station, I noticed a little puppy running down the road heading straight for a busy intersection. I managed to get the puppy into the parking lot. He was very scared. Worried that he would run back into the road, I found a piece of gum and placed it on the ground.
The puppy walked up to it and I quickly picked him up. Just then the owner ran up to me very grateful that I found his dog.
So glad that everything worked out in the end.

spent a couple hours volunteering at a nursing home.
I gave a man my only pair of sunglasses today cuz the sun hurt his eyes.
Suicide Prevention
Helped save a life this past Friday night.
This past Friday evening, I noticed a strange message from a fellow friend on a blogging service I used to manage. It was a suicide note. I instantly went to work and turns out she was in Thailand for a complicated surgery.
Long story short, I was able to get into contact with her (found her in a Thailand hotel), convinced the nurse to head over and check on her and she was able to revive her and stayed with her the rest of the evening.
Thank God! She contacted me today and was very thankful. She thought I was an angel when I spoke with her on the phone Friday.
I definitely think I was there at the right time.

The move continued... no matter how frustrating... there again making things happen.
I helped prep a close relative for a huge move. It is difficult for them to "move on" - so I helped by really driving the packing and prep
