Promise 1: Caring Adults
Experts tell us that every child should have 6-7 adults who know his or her birthday. In addition to their parents, kids need other people to turn to for help, friendship, advice and fun. When kids have many caring adults in their lives – teachers, coaches, tutors, neighbors, religious leaders, business owners, or other members of the community – they have a variety of positive role models to learn from and a number of mature sources of support, advice and humor. All these things help kids to meet daily challenges and enjoy daily success.
