What is Zazengo?

Zazengo is a shared online platform for tracking social action and aggregating impact.

Zazengo enables all organizations with a desire for social action to attract, inspire and empower their members with a revenue-generating, easy-to-use, shared platform that provides project matching, tracking, action and impact across multiple projects and organizations.

Zazengo’s widgets enable syndication for embedding action wherever it makes sense - including on social networking sites such as Facebook, media sites and corporate sites. Zazengo provides tools to create and organize campaigns, activities and projects that transform awareness into action.

Non-profit organizations including 4H USA and Service Nation among others have committed to using the Zazengo Platform.

Zazengo leverages the ’social web’ by enabling users to invite friends, join projects, report impact, keep friends up-to-date on projects, share stories, rate and rank friends’ projects and turn social networks into an impact engine. Zazengo projects are created by a user, managed by a project organization, sponsored by a sponsor and syndicated out through media partners.

Zazengo allows advertisers and sponsors to “brand impact” by associating their brand with highly dynamic communities of action, getting something done and making a difference.

Zazengo Platform

The Zazengo platform is a scalable web platform based on the highest levels of performance and availability to ensure that users and organizational needs are met.

Zazengo works in a hierarchical manner with the notion of: Organizations, Campaigns, Projects and Members.

At each level there can be one to many associations. For example, a specific project can be associated with one or more campaigns.

Collaboration Features

At the heart of Zazengo are the collaboration features at the Project level.

Key features include:

Events - announce project events and include a full description with text editing, images and start and end dates

Discussions - post questions or information and interact with other project members with full text editing and image inclusion

Action Lists - have one or multiple lists associated with a project, assign priorities and individuals to the list entry.

Stories - post your special story full text editing and images or by linking to another URL anywhere on the web

Impact - track individual impact based on the specific metrics determined for the project. Use existing metrics or define your own metrics and icons.

Members - view and invite members to a project and see their involvement

Invite Friends - invite your friends to join or become friends with your teammates. You can then track what your friends are doing and what impact they are having across multiple projects
